Bilal Academy & Masjid Bilal
Give an hour. Change a year.
Our school runs on people, not budgets. A parent who listens to recitation on a Sunday morning, a neighbour who brings a broom to a clean-up day, a coach who shows up for practice — that is what our children actually grow up inside.
You do not need to be a teacher. You do not need to commit every week. You only need to be willing.
“The best of people are those most beneficial to people.”
Ways people help
In the classroom
Sit with a small group, listen to Quran recitation, or help a teacher keep a busy room running.
Sports & activities
Coach, referee, or run an activity at summer camp. Enthusiasm counts for more than a whistle.
Clean-up days
A few hours with a good group of people, and the masjid is ready for the week ahead.
Events
Eid, graduation, fundraisers and family nights all need hands before, during and after.
Kitchen & hospitality
Prepare, serve and share food. Nobody has ever complained about too much help here.
Skills & trades
Repairs, photography, design, bookkeeping, IT — whatever you are good at, we can probably use it.
A note on safety. Anyone volunteering directly with children completes a background check before starting. It protects the children, and it protects you.
Volunteer with us
Tell us where you would like to help and when you are free. There is no minimum commitment.
Volunteer Application
